Novice Tigers Undefeated Season, SRLL Champions!
Submitted By Sherry Duguid on Wed 03 07, 18
The Thornton Tigers Novice team finished the year with an undefeated season both in regular games and playoffs. Our coaching staff set out a goal at the beginning season, to focus on individual skill development. From the beginning, the team spent the first 20 minutes of every practice to work solely on their skating.  Our goal as coaches has been to teach them to be good skaters and then they will become good hockey players.  The entire team has shown incredible improvement over the season for which they should be very proud. They worked hard, the players were all committed to the team and they deserve to be CHAMPTIONS. We have one remaining tournament in Barrie Select at the end of the month.
Go Thornton Tigers!
Coach Rudy
