Tigers Atom Experience International Silver Stick Finals!
Submitted By Sherry Duguid on Thursday, January 16, 2020
Congratulations to the Thornton Tigers Atom team who participated in the International Silver Stick Finals Tournament in Pelham Ontario this past weekend! What a great experience for the kids, coaches, and parents.

The players quickly proved their right to be there as they won their first three games in round robin play finishing first in their pool.  The first game was against a USA squad from Maryland and the Tigers won 6-1. The second game was much closer against a team from Mitchell Ontario and the Tigers won 2-1. The third game was against the home team from Pelham which the Tigers dominated 13-0. Their first place finish moved them into a quarter final game against a strong team from Ottawa which the Tigers lost 6-0.

In addition to the 4 games, the players will have great memories of this tournament including attending the Opening Ceremonies, exchanging team pins with all the other teams, and building on friendships at the team dinner and bowling party. The Coaches are extremely proud of this group of players, and would like to thank all the parents and family members that supported the Team this weekend through their loud cheering and fun times!
