A special note from a proud U18 team manager:
The Thornton Tigers U18 squad is sharing their final season together in style, on top of a regular undefeated season they are capping an impressive run by winning all five tournaments they entered this year and ending as Finalists in the Silverstick.

As the players prepare to move on from minor hockey—many heading to university, college, or new chapters—this perfect tournament sweep served as a fitting farewell for the group that grew up playing together in the surrounding Thornton area.
The journey started strong early in the season and never let up. The Tigers claimed titles in a series of competitive events, showcasing consistent team defense, sharp special teams, and timely scoring. They navigated tough pools, tight playoff games, and high-pressure finals, emerging victorious each time.
Highlights included gritty, low-scoring OT wins where goaltending and commitment shone, as well most recently a nail-biting penalty shot victory! By the fifth and final tournament, the team played with the confidence of a group that knew exactly how to finish strong, securing yet another championship to complete the undefeated tournament streak.
What stood out most in this championship run was the camaraderie of the team. After the final tournament win, this author asked the team who they would want me to give a special shout out to. They all unanimously said at the same time “ADAM”!
Adam, you're loved by every member of the team. Your heart's huge, your energy's contagious, and you bring the best vibes to every shift and every locker room hangout. Thanks for being the ultimate teammate and friend.
So, as the season for this U18 team ends, the Thornton Tigers can look back on a memorable half-year defined by teamwork, resilience, and six tournament medals.
Congratulations to the entire group on an incredible final run together, and best of luck to all the players in whatever comes next. The Thornton hockey community is proud of you!
