Tigers Atom Are Champions!
Submitted By Sherry Duguid on Mon 12 02, 19
The Tigers Atom team won the Championship at the Hespeler Classic Tournament in Cambridge this weekend, finishing with an impressive 5-0 record in the tournament. At the end of the round robin on Saturday the Team was seeded 2nd overall (of 20 teams) with a perfect 3-0 record. The Tigers were then successful in an exciting and exhausting semi-final match on Sunday, which needed triple overtime to decide the winner! The final game was also close, but the Tigers competed hard with a 2-1 win.

In an impressive show of Team spirit, the Tigers coaches and players agreed to not hand out any of the 5 individual “player of the game” awards, deciding instead to place the awards with the trophy, as a symbol of their commitment to Teamwork!

Congratulations to all the players and coaches for a great Championship weekend!
