Welcome PeeWee 1 Team
PeeWee 1 Parents,
It is with great
pleasure, energy and excitement that I introduce myself to you as your child’s
PeeWee Coach. Throughout my youth I was given the opportunity; like
your child, to play hockey in Thornton. After spending the last few
years on the bench in a variety of positions including Head Coach, I am
familiar with the Tigers and OMHA local league philosophy, placing emphasis on
fun and fair play.
As the head coach, I expect a transparent relationship between the bleachers and the dressing room. I am an individual that respectfully operates with an “open door” policy, and have found in my previous hockey experience that when parents and coaches effectively collaborate and communicate with each other, a successful team is developed. Please do not hesitate to connect with myself or any of the coaching staff, ensuring that the best interest in your child and the others is in mind.

Off the ice….Sunday September 24th, 2017 – TMHA is hosting a Kick Off Day to get the kids pumped for the hockey season! It will be at the arena from 2-5PM. In an effort to further inform you about details for the season, we will have our first team meeting during this time. Please visit the TMHA website for more details regarding this event. In the upcoming days, I will be emailing out a package with more details and mutual expectations of the season.
On the ice...our season begins with a practice on Saturday September 30th at 1:00PM. As of now this looks like this will be our regular practice time and home games will be held Friday at 7:30PM. Once again this year, scheduling changes will be emailed directly to you from the Thornton Tigers website. I would suggest to all the parents that you go to the Thornton Tigers website and sign up for schedule change notifications by email.
